Friday at the Festival

You are welcome to arrive from 2.00 pm onwards on Friday 8th July for the in-person flash fiction festival at Trinity College, Bristol. There are also some extra places now available on the pre festival three hour workshop with Kathy Fish which is taking place from 2.00 pm – 5.00 pm. This is also open for those not attending the rest of the festival weekend. (If you need help with booking accommodation or have dietary requests, please contact us. Friday Meals

You can bring a picnic or order a Teatime Box from our excellent Bristol-based caterer, Campbell’s Kitchen if you are coming early or want to pick one up later.

Friday Events:

Pre Festival Workshop with Kathy Fish
From 2.00 pm – 5.00 pm, Kathy Fish eminent writer, and flash fiction teacher from the USA is running Immersion Lab Ekphrasis, Collaboration & Cross-Pollination. (3 hour session). 20 people maximum £50.
This workshop is also open to those who cannot come to the whole weekend. More information, and to book here.


Karaoke ready to go in 2019

Badger’s Pouch, the bar, will be open from 2.00 pm and there’ll be a ‘Meet and Greet’ opportunity for those who don’t know anyone, at a time to be arranged, in between 2.00 pm and 5.00 pm. A selection of wine, beer, cider, water and soft drinks on sale.
After the evening of readings, Karaoke entertainment will be available in the bar, organised by Helen Rye and Christopher Allen.

The festival bookshop will be open from 2.00 pm to 5.00 pm in the Tyndall’s room, by Reception in the main building.
